Story of Studio

Mountain View Studios, owned and managed by Richard Sedgman, is a locally based music production company, sitting at the base of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges in Montrose, Victoria. The aim of the studio is to enable musicians and singers to produce high quality music at an affordable price and support local artists who want to take their music to the next level, .

Richard has worked produced and recorded for over 20 years  with talented singers and bands such as Phil Crowder, Kate Hollingsworth, Alison Mapleson, "Sprugs in Funk", James Greensill, Moto, Velda Mason, Bram Morton and Gilson Secondary College to name just a few and has also produced his own music, releasing three albums - 'Forever More', a collaborative project, 'Reinvention Of Reason'', released in 2014 and his latest album "This is Me" in December 2019. He is passionate about producing music and providing a recording experience for anyone who wants to share their music with the world.

Richard has always had a passion for producing professional music, inspired from his many years of live performance in solo gigs and collaborative projects with other artists and bands and he has a strong desire to help musicians of all levels to produce their own music.

The vision of Mountain View Studios is to inspire and provide opportunities for people to explore their creativity and to record and release their own music.
